Benkay Teppanyaki in Dusseldorf

The location is really easy to get to! The good transport connections mean that a meal trip can be done quickly, and it has never happened to me in this restaurant that a meal is cold on the table. The choice of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired. The professionalism of the staff is really impressive. We think the prices are completely okay.

The location is extremely easy to reach! The favorable transport connection makes a jaunt there possible. The selection is wide and I still have whatever tasted absolutely bombshell what I got for my part hadn't been so fascinated by an inn for a long time.

Maybe my experience is influenced by the fact that I once worked in the Hotel Nikko, but when I went to the Benkay for the first time (when I was no longer employed) it was excellent. It was a show and incredible food together, with very polite service. Of course, you count a price for the experience that I wouldn't even pay, but I can only recommend it for special occasions

Way too expensive. Holes in the aprons, service very bad, food was ok (some was cold) but you should expect that at 160 euros per person without drinks. Rip off. We were more than disappointed and would not go again and would not recommend it to anyone. Too bad.

It is the first time I eat Wagyu. I really appreciate the service here offered. I ordered Wagyu menu in the first page and 7 or 8 dishes in total. I tried many ways of cooking Wagyu and love them so much. I can feel it is melting in my mouth!!! The atmosphere is nice and chef is friendly!!! Srongly recommend.

The food is delicious but the service... Have to ask a waiter to have a glass of water... Not to mention that the waiter does not ask about drinks... at all... not the best servicing...

This restaurant presents itself at its own tables with grill stations. We had a birthday to celebrate and were welcomed on time with 6 people. The Wagyu was incredible and the * small * show insert during the preparation was breathtakingly beautiful. It's not cheap, but it doesn't offer a cheap atmosphere either. We recommend.

Enjoy your meal. Friendly staff. However, very expensive and you are not really full. Unless you order for € 300 per person.

The best Japanese food I've ever visited! It is worth noting that they could even fry the croutons so deliciously that this sensation could well be called gastronomic delight.

The Teppanyaki is definitely an experience that is more than worthwhile !! We had reserved a table at 20 o'clock and decided quite quickly for a menu. The staff was very quick with picking up the drinks orders and was the whole evening super friendly and attentive. You should definitely lean back and enjoy the show. We sat there for 2 hours and enjoyed each course in the menu very much. From Nigiri sushi to wagyu beef to crème brûlée, each course was superbly prepared by the Japanese chef. Also watching the cooking was very exciting and made you even more excited about the food. All the ingredients of the dishes were of high quality. All in all it was a wonderful evening with great food. I can definitely only recommend the teppanyaki !!

Have you ever experienced ... eaten there for the second time and loved it again. The meat is so tender, it breaks down on the tongue. Friendly, attentive service. You also like to pay more. It was a special evening.

The food is indeed nice. But the service is really terrible considering the price and the fact that this should be a Michelin star Restaruarnt. The staff members are unprofessional, they have served our dishes wrongly and they kicked me several times when they were serving the food. When we walked in, nobody was there to greet or to show directions. Nobody offered to hang out jackets and you had to do it yourself. When you were leaving, nobody helped you to take your jacket and they would just stand there watching you do it yourself. This kind of service DOES NOT worth the price AT ALL. When I was in japan, after you’ve finished your meals the staff members would bow at you until you disappeared from their sights. That’s what I call service attitude and that’s what I call service spirit.

The Benkay in Hotel Nikko is the best in Dussledorf. Must have experienced. Japanese cuisine at its finest. Reserve a table, bring time and enjoy. Try it. An absolute recommendation.

I've been there twice and just have to say that it was not worth it at all, the store is unloving in my opinion, the service is incapable and unfriendly and the prices far too high for the odd quality. In any case, the guest is "served up" (in the truest sense of the word) than one would expect. Food cold and not justified the price. It was just bad. I ate better in every snack than there. Can understand all the bad reviews now better. Would not go anymore.

It is totally a 5 star restaurant and experience. The atmosphere is authentic, the chef was great, friendly and polite and food beyond expectations. I strongly recommend the wagyu beef and the lobster. A bit expensive, be ready to leave at least 200 eur for a dinner for two , but it is worth it.

Price performance is not right at the back and front. Alright in terms of taste, but you really have to wait a long time for something to eat.

16-12-2017: We took a seat but I had to go over to the bar to get someone to order for us. He was nice but had to ask a female colleague what a Chai Latte was. She was not professional and you could hear, as guests, what she was saying to him, and she was not nice. She brought our drinks, Matcha Latte (because they had no Chai Latte), but was not sure they were for us. The Matcha Latte was not good, try this at Tenten coffee, please do.

Had dinner with friends yesterday, group of 8 people. It was worthless! Operation was 10x nothing, price much too high. We had to wait for hours until we received our food. After dinner both stomach and wallet were empty! Never again! For € 800 we could have fully filled our stomachs elsewhere.

Best teppanyaki in Germany

Overpriced considering the quality. They often replace chefs so that you cannot get once you got.

The food is good even if not given. The service is very average: difficulty finding waiters, forgotten drinks and we got out of the restaurant when we hadn't finished because the time is the time. The German wine list is fabulous even if no one can advise you.

The house offers good Japanese food. The sushi was very good. Nevertheless, the concept was not quite consistent. We each ordered a menu. You get everything at the same time! Some dishes are already cold before you have eaten half. The portions were a bit too small for me. The atmosphere was pleasant. There are sitting areas and also seats at the bar. After a long wait we were informed that the food is in progress. We had the impression that they had forgotten us, since everyone had already received their food. Overall it was good but not perfect.
